Meet the Band
Ariel Eva:
“Stevie Nicks”
Singer – Ariel (born November 19, 1995 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida) was raised by her musically-oriented parents: her mother, Simone Bartolo – a band manager, and her father, Eldad Kira – a pianist. Ariel began to sing nearly after she began to speak; she has trained with vocal coaches Wanda Walden and Beth Cohen.
Ariel entered the world of musical-theater in the 3rd grade. From there, Ariel captivated audiences throughout elementary and high-school, playing Rizzo in 3 different productions of Grease, Gigi in Miss Saigon, and numerous other musical-theater productions and talent shows.
Ariel began guest-singing for local rock and roll bands at the age of 12 and has sat in with local cover acts such as Mr. Nice Guy and the Bobby Nathan Band. She has sung the national anthem at two Relay for Life events and performed her original music at three music festivals (Project Earth and Shangri-La). Ariel has recorded demo work with Jon Secada and his team of writers is presently in the midst of recording an original demo of her own work. Ariel’s musical influences range from the musical stylings of Rent, Spring Awakening, Wicked, Bare, and In the Heights to Christina Aguilera, Chris Cornell, Amy Winehouse, Billie Eilish, Yebba, Jeff Buckley, and Janis Joplin.
At the age of 17, Ariel joined her first cover band, Roses Are Red, and since, has performed as lead vocalist in several musical projects in the local South Florida live music circuit: Soulflower (duo), Serendiptious (trio), Spank the Band, Perfect Strangers, Tone Rivers (original band), and the following tribute bands: Iconic Women of Rock, True Rumours: The Definitive Fleetwood Mac Show, Tough Cookie (A Tribute to Joan Jett and Pat Benatar), and presently, Atticca Corporate Cover Band, Meet Loaf: a Tribute to the Music of Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman, and Fleatwood Mac: A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac.
Benny Israel:
The Voice of “Lindsey Buckingham”
Singer – Born November 23, 1983, Benny was raised in South Florida. As a young boy, Benny was always drawn to music and singing, especially. Early on, he found inspiration through exposure to strong vocalist front men Meat Loaf and Freddie Mercury. Benny’s vocal range is expansive and his vocal style is eclectic, which both allow him the ability to mimic and depict any male recording artist with ease. Benny has been performing as the front man of the following 5 different local cover/tribute bands in South Florida over the last decade: Driven, Use the Force and currently Atticca corporate band, Fleatwood Mac, and Meet Loaf. Meet Loaf: A Tribute to the Music of Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman features Benny as Meat Loaf and can be caught live at local South Florida venues and across the United States of America.
Alberto Pizarro:
The Guitar Work of “Lindsey Buckingham”
Guitarist – In 1995, attending Bethune Elementary School of the Arts in South Florida, Alberto’s musical studies began in the 3rd grade, after being kicked out of 3-D Art class for misbehaving.. Something he believes to be one of the best things to ever happen to him.
Alberto began studying the Violin in his strings class, under the direction of Mrs, Evelyn Treer. Within about one years time, he was asked and encouraged to join the All County Honors Orchestra of Broward County FL – an experience he says he will never forget.
After giving up the strings and music for 4 years, Alberto eventually picked up the guitar and took a guitar class at South Broward High School – under the direction of one Jackie Parsons – an instructor he says he’ll always admire. Within a couple years of practice and study, Alberto knew exactly what he wanted to eventually become, which is a professional Guitarist to the highest degree possible.
Alberto has about 25 years of musical experience, has been a professional musician for nearly 20 and has worked with many different bands and musicians.
He has toured up and down the East Coast of the U.S. – opening for such acts as: Foghat, Buddy Guy, Los Lonely Boys and Candle Box. Presently, he is the lead guitarist for “Meet Loaf: The Ultimate Meat Loaf Tribute” and “Fleatwood Mac: The Premier Tribute to Fleetwood Mac”.
Alberto currently works as an instructor at Guitar Center in Hallandale, Fl. He also teaches private lessons but coincidentally considers himself a student – always.
Cecilia Roy
“Christine McVie”
Keys/Vocals – Originally from Vancouver Island, Canada, Cecilia Roy is an accomplished musician, entertainer, and vocalist. With over thirty years of professional playing experience and her ability to play seven instruments, Cecilia Roy’s extensive repertoire has enabled her to perform internationally and throughout Southern Florida. Her versatility ranges from a dynamic self-contained soloist, to jazz quartets, or headlining for two sixteen-piece swing and jazz orchestras, and currently performing as a keyboard vocalist in rock tribute bands.
David Carrey
“John McVie”
Basist – David Carrey is a bassist that specializes in pop, funk, rock, and diversity in general. Although he does not play other instruments, his versatility within the instrument is his strongest asset. He can improvise and play songs note for note, tending to capture the essence of the bassist he’s covering. He writes his own music as well and is always ready to take a solo if the song calls for it. His pocket-playing has been known to engage the audience and keep the crowd dancing, while in awe of his prowess. He brings to the table, not only over 20 years of professional experience at 37 years of age, but also an energy and love for music that is unmatched and contagious. He possesses the ability to take a band to the next level and naturally, encourages players around him to rise up and enhance their own performance.
He has played with touring acts, such as Atom Smash and The New Planets. Currently, he can be seen locally in the South Florida live music circuit, performing with Meet Loaf: A Tribute to Meat Loaf and the Music of Jim Steinman, Tough Cookie (A Tribute to Pat Benatar and Joan Jett), Atticca Corporate Party Cover Band, Mouthtape, and Fleatwood Mac: A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac (in addition to him filling in with a myriad of other bands). David holds an expansive repertoire and is a quick, on-the-spot learner, making him an ideal fit for bands that need a fill-in at the last minute, as well.
Marcos Pizarro
“Mick Fleetwood”
Drummer – Naturally wanting to follow in his older brother’s footsteps, Marcos began his musical journey learning to play the violin at Bethune Elementary School of the Arts in Hollywood, FL under the same great teacher that his brother, Alberto, had – Mrs. Evelyn Treer. When he started at Attucks Middle School right next door, he fell in love with the drums thanks to band director, Mr. Stewart Rabin, who encouraged and guided him in the beginning of his journey with the drums.
Marcos began learning to play drums in a rock setting as well as concert percussion throughout middle school. Following his brother once again to the same school, Marcos started high school and immediately joined the South Broward High School Marching Bulldog Band. He immediately fell in love with the drum line (he still remembers the first day he walked into the band room for rehearsal) and studied under many great instructors including the one and only, Jackie Parsons and Mr. Deen President. Marcos says these two music teachers taught him what it looks like to bring out your passion for music and work hard to achieve goals. During Marcos’ sophomore year, the band program gained another amazing band director by the name of Octavio Cedeno, who Marcos considers to be like a cousin and who taught him many things about music, how to be an effective leader, and general life lessons.
Marcos continued playing in the marching band as Drum Captain as well as symphonic band, jazz band, and drum line. After high school, Marcos continued studying music in college, focusing on jazz drums at Broward College, studying under Mr. Rudolfo Zuniga, considering him to be one of the most talented drummers he has ever seen. Marcos continued to study music part-time in college and played in several bands including The Republik, Forge, Tone Rivers, Goose Caboose, and Idle Minds.
Marcos continued his music studies at Florida State University where he studied classical piano under Dr. Sjtin De Cock. Marcos earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from FSU in 2022 and is currently in graduate school at Florida State studying to become a board-certified music therapist – all whilst touring with national tribute acts, Meet Loaf & Fleatwood Mac.
